Style: Mixed Fermentation Saison brewed with Hibiscus & Lemon

6%% ABV

Brewery’s Note: “Saison brewed with Hibiscus and Lemon. An hommage to our brew day at Fantôme.”

The beer pours a raspberry red color, somewhere in the “pink-toned ruby” vicinity, as my lady-love put it. It pours with a thick mousse of tiny, whipped bubbles that are a slightly off-white color. The head fades quickly, leaving a spattered sheeting of slightly frothy bubbles on the sides of the glass. In body, the beer is cloudy, and nearly opaque, but with a radiant bright color. On the nose, the beer smells distinctly of HF funk. Think strawberries, jam, lemon, lime, a touch of OJ, and a light farmhouse musk with a hint of hay and grass. There is a light earthiness to the nose that blends salinity, a touch of pool water, and an herbal earthiness that has just a hint of spice…
