Greek beer review: part ena

Since we’ve been doing some pretty full days, one of the delights of chilling in our hotel room (watching terrible American tv) has been sampling a range of locally available beer.

Beer drinkers to the hilt, husband and I are excited to try out new brews, always.

Today offered three drops. Not all Greek though (one is Belgian). Here’s my thoughts after a glass of each, which was probably somewhat addled by eating local yoghurt and honey in the midst of taste testing, but we all have our weaknesses, ne?

Athos is made by Brouwerij Het Anker out of Belgium and is a tasty golden ale with a really biscuity palate. Light and lovely, it leaves a pretty delish aftertaste and mouth feel.
