Finally I get to one of my favourite styles: the classic wheat beer oder Weissbier im Deutsch. What better a wheat beer to review than from Weihenstephaner, the world’s oldest brewery still running?

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a 500ml Stein glass [If you want a true Weissbier experience use a Weizen glass ;-)]

A: The brew fizzes a little as I pour it into the glass, the solid white head settles to 1cm. The body is a classic cloudy orange and without the head you would almost mistake it for a glass of mango juice. 8/10.

S: This is where wheat beers really excel for me; the aroma is a fantastic bouquet of banana and clove spice. It has a hint of bubble gum and if I must be honest this aroma would make a fantastic cologne (take note Calvin Klein). 10/10.
