Williams Bros. – Forth of July

This is Forth of July, a 5% Pale Ale by Williams Bros. That’s not a spelling mistake, the brewery is based on the banks of the River Forth – making it a clever pun. Isn’t linguistics great!

This is, unfortunately, a special edition brewed only around American Independence Day. I know that, because I’ve been searching for it since to no avail.

I had this on a sunny day in Glasgow -there is such a thing – in the beer garden of Inn Deep (review coming very soon). If anything could’ve added to a beautiful day, in a brilliant pub, watching the River Kelvin flow by – it was this.

The citrusy flavour is making me salivate just thinking about it. It was like a rabid grapefruit was bouncing around my mouth. This was a pint so flavoursome, that I had to pace myself…
