Probably the second-most anticipated BC beer release of the year has made its annual appearance.
I’m talking about Driftwood Brewing’s Sartori Harvest IPA, a fresh/wet-hopped delight made with hops picked just a few weeks ago from not far from Victoria.
Now wrapped in a greatly-improved label, Sartori has a major cult following in the beer scene. Look at it this way: Sartori landed in Vancouver stores yesterday (Sept 22), and by 8pm (when I tried to pick some up), it had sold out at both Brewery Creek and Legacy Liquor stores. And that was with maximum purchase limits in place. Wow. With a score of 97 on BeerAdvocate, it’s no surprise this beer vanishes.
