Niagara College Liqueur de Malt

For some reason, I’m not sure that any of the beers I’ve brewed in class (Craft system side excluded) have made it into bottle. Half of our group brewed this, my half brewed the porter from hell…

Name: Niagara College Liqueur de Malt
Style: Malt Liquor
From: Niagara-on-the-Lake, On
ABV: 7.5%

Appearance:  Hazy straw yellow with a big thick white head.
Aroma: It’s malt liquor, there’s nothing too complex here, sweetness, grains and a little bit of green apple are about it.
Taste: It’s pretty light bodied, with a bit of sweetness and some astringency to it. On the palate there’s grain, corn syrup, a little bit of spice and a touch of that green apple.

Overall: I absolutely love it, it’s easy drinking, there’s at least (some) flavour there – more than most of the macro-lagers, and doesn’t taste like it’s 7.5%.

Buy: Niagara College Teaching Brewery
