I had tried Holy Grail Ale a long time ago, but to be truthful I couldn’t remember much about it. I came across it again recently and I thought it would be a good time to see what I thought of it now about 10 years after I started drinking beer for pleasure.
The aroma reminds me a bit of a Czech Pilsner, some hops, a bit of flowers and honey. Interestingly enough, I couldn’t really find any hops in the flavor, except maybe in a bit of dryness. The body is light weight, but the rockiness gives the beer substance. My favorite part is the rich wildflower honey finish. Great afternoon, snack beer! I choose some lightly salted pita chips, and the combination was excellent. I suspect the salt on the chips gave the beer that strong honey finish.
