Upon deciding the name for their Russian Imperial Stout that contains a monstrous amount of dark malt and aggressive hops, Ipswich, Massachusetts’ Clown Shoes were trying to decide what type of mythical monster to name this beer after. Names such as Black Unicorn and Soul Dragon came up and after some deliberation they thought: “Why not combine these to make the ultimate dark mythical creature?” Thus, the Blaecorn Unidragon was born! The playful name of this Russian Imperial Stout is a reflection of the brewery’s mission, which is “to produce beer without pretension, while being free and a little crazy”.
