I haven’t had many White Birch beers, and it’s been a long while since I have had them. This is most likely because they’re a very small brewery out of New Hampshire, so small they call themselves a nanobrewery, who produces all of their beer by hand and in small quantities. On my second day in Cambridge, MA looking for something light to drink before dinner, I immediately ordered their Berliner Weiss after sitting down.
The beer was a slightly hazy straw gold color with a bright white head sitting on top. The scent was a very strong combination of sweet wheat and citrus that tickled my nose. It had a very light body, and was smooth going down with a sweet sticky mouthfeel.
