Samuel Adams, New World Tripel

Ricardo Reviews Brews

My sister is a Samuel Adams fanatic. While I’m not the biggest fan, I was drawn to this ornate bottle and convincing description of “tropical fruit” and “spice”.

This beer is top-notch. Very rewarding mouthfeel, almost creamy, and foamy on top. The taste does deliver with citrus notes in full force, lemons, grapefruit, and limes. The spice too is right on: coriander, pepper, and clove balance out the fruitiness with finesse and provide a medium length finish that belies the high alcohol content.

Tripels have always been one of my favorite beers, and this one joins the ranks of the best I’ve had. Recommend.
