Happy IPA day to all! Given this is IPA day I figured I had better get on board and grabbed this fella. An English brewery doing an American Style IPA? Worth a look I reckon.

From the website: “Our full flavoured, strong India Pale Ale. Now hopped with Amarillo, Citra and Nelson Sauvin. This beer has a pale straw-amber body, and pours with a full creamy head. Its complex flavours include mandarin orange, schnapps, pineapple, and juicy tropical fruits. It is warmingly alcoholic with a dry finish.”

So American and New Zealand hops make up the hopload in this beer. It pours a golden colour with a nice big white head. Aroma is big citrus & grapefruit.

The flavour is bitter up front with that grapefruit flavour. A little resiny, but not overly. Mouthfeel is medium and fishes quite dry. A good beer and an easy 4 points. Could drink…
