Wheat Beer x2

A pair of wheat beers?! Why not! This was originally just going to be the Uncle Leo’s (I was slacking on pulling the pictures off the camera yesterday and posting) but after an LCBO run I came home with the dunkel so I figured a double post was the best option. New world v old world, light v dark, good v evil (wait, too far).

Name: Uncle Leo’s Vohs Weizenbier
Style: Wheat Beer
From: Lyons Brook, NS
ABV: 5.0%

Appearance: Pours up a hazy straw colour with a thick white head.
Aroma: Pretty typical wheat beer stuff here: Cloves, yeasty-bread dough, and bubble gum.
Taste: A lot like the aroma, cloves,  bread, black pepper and those little banana marshmallows. The beer itself has a little sweetness and a lot of carbonation,

Overall: Not a bad little wheat beer, doesn’t quite rival those big German ones, but a good effort nonetheless.
