Propeller Double IPA

I have a feeling a beer run will be happening soon, there’s only 3 beers and a cider left in my fridge now!

Name: Propeller Double IPA
Style: Double IPA
From: Halifax, NS
ABV: 8.2%

Appearance: A clear reddish orange – almost blood orangey – with a medium orangey-beige head.
Aroma: Starts out citrusy – lemons and oranges – with a bit of burnt caramel and a whiff of pine.
Taste: There’s an initial hit of grapefruit zest and pith, mixed with lemon, some pepper spice comes in next, followed by a nice lingering pine and a little touch of something fruity. Dry with a bit of nice astringency that vanishes with the appearance of that fruity note.

Overall: Really delicious, I could drink this down all day. Maybe I’ve become desensitized (all signs point to yes) but this does not taste like 85 IBU at all.
